Jennifer Garner filmed her hilarious and slightly scary experience when she took her 12-year-old son Samuel to a haunted house.
The mother and son got an early start to their Halloween celebrations and visited a scary attraction that left the actor laughing and appearing to shed a few tears.
On October 27, Garner shared a funny clip of Instagram about how she filmed herself as the duo made their way through a haunted house, encountering terrifying characters who tried to scare them.
As the video began, the 13 Going on 30 star let out several short screams as the text “Moms in a Haunted House” appeared.
“I see you. I see you!” – she shouted to someone unknown, who failed to surprise her. The character then began to follow her, and Garner laughed and ran away.
“I don’t like being followed. Don’t chase! – she shouted.
When she noticed another person, this time she playfully shouted, “Stay here!”
“I see you and I am not afraid of you,” she told another character. But the proud mom seemed a little scared, and Samuel noticed.
An off-camera teenager said, “Mom, you’re going to break my arm.” He laughed and added, “I can’t really feel my hand.”
Garner noticed another figure and was so scared that she jokingly said, “I’m not the one you want. Take my son!
Towards the end of the clip, the actor heard a loud noise and started screaming again. The text on the screen read: “(Looks like he’s laughing, maybe crying).”
After a few more unnerving moments, she decided to give credit to one of the haunted house workers. “It’s very effective,” she praised before ending the video.
Fans in the comments loved the documentary-style footage and Garner’s funny reactions.
“Best haunted house video ever!” one said.
Another wrote: “Girl you have the skills of Alias and Electra. They should be afraid of you,” referring to some of Garner’s most intense roles.
Despite the nerve-wracking trip to the haunted house, Garner still seems to be a big fan of Halloween. She previously shared a charming photo video about her singing to pumpkins in honor of National Pumpkin Day. She also re-shared several videos and photos on her Instagram story where fans dressed up as her character from 13 Going on 30.
